Location: Management School Building (MSB 136).

Useful Information

KiwiCAM is being held in the Management School Building (MSB) at the University of Waikato. The main conference will take place in MSB 1.36 & 1.37—to the right of the registration area—and the poster session will be held in MSB 1.41 (the foyer outside those two rooms). The management school building is somewhat confusing to navigate, so there will be signs around the building directing you to the conference rooms.

The campus is located about 3km from the city centre. If you are staying at UniMotel, there are well-lit footpaths for you to follow up to the Management School. We recommend you follow the path on this map.

If you are driving to the University, free parking will be available via Gate 7, which is accessed via. Hillcrest Road. There will be signage out on the day indicating where to park.

KiwiCAM Schedule

The conference will begin on Saturday at 9am, and Sunday at 9.15am. If you arrive early, we will have a light breakfast available in the MSB1.41 foyer from 8.30am on Saturday and 8.45am on Sunday. We will be providing morning tea and lunch each day. We will also have nibbles available on Saturday throughout the poster session, and will provide afternoon tea on Sunday.

The poster session will take place on Saturday afternoon from 4:00-5:30pm. If you are presenting a poster, please find some time to set up your poster during one of the breaks on Saturday. Poster boards will be available throughout the day on Saturday in MSB1.41. Please find the board with your name on it, and hang your poster before the session begins. Thumb tacks will be provided.

If you are giving a presentation, please load your presentation onto the computer in the presentation room (MSB1.36) before your session. You can do so during breakfast on the day of your talk or during one of the breaks between sessions.

During the conference, we will be holding a session on career pathways and transferrable skills. We would love to hear your ideas re. topics you would like covered or questions you would like the panel to answer. To tell us your thoughts, please complete this survey.

Most coffee establishments on campus will be closed because the conference is being held over the weekend. Rest assured, we will have a steady supply of coffee on tap throughout the conference, but if you would like a quality coffee to start your day, we would recommend stopping off before making your way to the University. Hamilton has a number of great coffee spots:

Grey Street Kitchen (355 Grey St) - located in Hamilton East.

GG’s cafe (Shed 6, 394 Grey St) - just down the street from GSK.

Demi Urgos (865 Victoria Street) - in the CBD for those staying in town.
